    A LA experience unique to tinsel town. I treated my brother for his birthday and he really felt it was the best way to make his 60th birthday memorable. Thankfully there was no special treatment, but the experience itself is unique to Sushi Scratch. Japanese whisky and saki pairing available, unique coctails, and made to order drinks really elevated our experience. Five stars would have been given if the sushi chefs were trained to serve ladies first. There were four of us at the bar; each time, my sushi was served last. For a restaurant that pays so much attention to detail, this would have been an nice touch.

    This culinary experience was phenomenal! Never had I had such amazing fresh sushi prepared in front of me by exquisite chefs. 10/10 recommendations. Such a great way to celebrate my birthday.

    If i could give this place 20 stars i would. The quality of the fish is unmatched. It's an exclusive dining experience with just around 8-10 seats around one chef in a private room. By far THEEE best sushi I have ever had in my life. MUST TRY. Service outstanding ambiance very cool overall a memorable unique experience.

    My friend brought me here for my birthday in April and it was an absolute treat. It was my first omakase style dinner and it was such an amazing experience!! The restaurant is located in the same plaza as Larsens. It's a speakeasy type of restaurant so if you don't follow the directions on the reservations, you may not find it. We arrived early and were served welcome cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. They were delish and just enough to prepare me for what to expect. They escorted us to our dining room. It was very intimate and only sat 10 diners. There were three chefs, one main chef and two assisting chefs,,,so we were able to engage directly with them. The main chef was not that attentive, maybe he had a bad day,,,idk,,, and one of the other chefs appeared to be new because the main chef had to correct him several times and he appeared frustrated. We had a cocktail server who was extremely nice and attentive. Now, let me get on to the food. It was a 16 course tasting menu. Everything served was exceptionally amazing. The quality of the sushi was excellent and it was very fresh. At the end, they let you choose one more from the menu. I can't express how impressed I was with the food. Overall, it was a great experience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Since I've been, I've recommended this place to many people. I will definitely come back.
